Hello,
Before continuing to page 3 of the Sphere 1903 I wanted to post links to four videos from the British Film Institute that are in youtube. I am finishing the new elephant (The State Elephant of Karauli), and I always review all the Delhi Durbar videos before I consider it finished. To see the elephant in action shows details that the photos don't. So I was reviewing all the Durbar films and I came accross 4 films that are worth viewing.
This is an interesting film taken during the Delhi Durbar 1903. The details are always so rich.
An amazing footage of the elephants and carriages taken during the Calcutta pageant in 1912.
A color footage taken in Sikkim in 1940, mainly shows the musician monks that I've painted soooo many times
Footage taken in Sikkim in 1934, shows the Devil Dancers. As much as you review the photos, nothing can transmit more of crazy dance than a film. Enjoy.
I will be back with the 3rd page of the Sphere soon.
Ana
